Hello Smiler, put simply, tags are keywords.

In the same way you can stick labels on physical objects, you can use tags to label digital things such as blog posts, photos, or web links.

Once you assign tags to a certain object, you can easily find them later by looking up everything tagged with that particular keyword. You can also assign multiple tags to the same object, and different people can assign different tags to the same resource. Basically it allows you to find what your looking for providing of course that people use tags related to their sites.

McDonalds are interested in one thing - money. plain and simple. Like they give a toss where its coming from. all theyll do is run a survey, see what market doesnt really use their facilities, then try and penetrate it, hence halal.

Great blog, I must admit to experiencing the same level of worry to a point where I actually believe I am guilty. If a see the police driving behind me, I want to pull over, step outside the vehicle and in quick sucsession place my hands behind my back!

my blog isn't the be all and end all, I was simply considering a consumer icon and it's attempts to become even more globalised. I believe it was only one burger which was to be halal, so choose something different.

But what about the other side of the coin: forcing the traditions of the non-west onto western communities...? Hmmm? What if I, as a non-Muslim, don't want to eat Halal food?

My humble opinion is that even though i think its great people would like to voice their opinion on things - Pictures are another story though, whereas you can normally cant get an idea of filth unless you read a whole paragraph about something, picutes can say a thousand words in an instant.

These sites are sites that anyone of any age can access, there has to be some form of censorship that acts as a blanket to protect everyone who uses it.

Please dont mis-understand this by thinking a agree, but you need to see it from both sides i think.

Child abuse happens every day, but you dont want to see pictures of that on peoples blogs.
Think about it.And take it easy.

Don't you belive any of it. They are simply miffed that they have never really penetrated the Islamic world and are hoping to influence governments by sucking up to European Muslims.
But as I understand it, a devout Muslim would not touch a food that has been cooked on the skillet where non halal food has also been prepared.

Roy did the right thing, its better to lose a post than have your blog deleted.

I'll have a look at various hosts and see if I can recommend a less restrictive one.

It is bad, when after all he was only showing something that happens every day in certain parts of the world.
I hated the pictures, but what made them worse was the fact i did not realisse this was happening.

There are a lot worse pictures on the sites over the web, and they try to pull the ones showing real compasion for the children this is happening too.

I am so sorry that this has been done, as I said, the pictures are horrible, but they are real!
